Journey to Resurrection
Welcome to the Journey
The weeks leading up to Easter invite us to slow down and reflect on the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. In the Gospel of John, we encounter Jesus not only through miracles and teachings but through personal moments. In conversations, meals, questions, and invitations to follow Him more closely.John begins his Gospel with a powerful declaration:“The Word became flesh and dwelt among us.” (John 1:14)God did not remain distant from humanity. Through Jesus, He stepped into our world and made His home among us.Over fourteen days, we will walk through the entire Gospel of John together. During the first week, we encounter Jesus through His signs, teachings, and invitations to believe. During the second week, we slow down and follow the events of Holy Week. From Jesus’ arrival in Jerusalem to the cross, the silence of Holy Saturday, and the hope of resurrection morning. This journey is not meant to be rushed.Instead, it is an invitation to sit with the story of Jesus, notice what it reveals about God, and reflect on how His life continues to shape our own. Each day includes reading 1-2 chapters of the Bible and reflection to help guide you through the passage. My heart for you, in any of the studies we do together, is that you go at your own pace. If the reading is too much, you can listen through your favorite Bible app. If you want to go deeper and have the extra time, dig into a study Bible or a commentary as we go along. Most importantly, listen for the Lord to speak to you. Pay attention to what He highlights to you each day. It could be the simplest word or phrase. My prayer is that as you move through these days, you will experience Jesus not only as someone we read about in Scripture, but as the One who continues to invite us today:“Come and see.”
