Week 1 Overview
Come and See
The Gospel of John begins with a bold declaration: the Word became flesh and dwelt among us.In these opening chapters, we encounter Jesus through conversations, miracles, and invitations to follow Him. From the first disciples who respond to His call to “come and see,” to the woman at the well who discovers living water, John shows us that Jesus meets people personally and invites them into relationship.Throughout this week, we will see signs that reveal who Jesus is: the Bread of Life, the Light of the World, the Good Shepherd, and the Resurrection and the Life. Each moment reveals something deeper about the heart of God.As you read these chapters, notice how Jesus interacts with people. He meets them in their questions, their doubts, their needs, and their hopes. In the same way, He continues to meet us today. This first week invites us to slow down and see Jesus more clearly. Not just through the events of His ministry, but through the ways He reveals the character of God.Just as the first disciples were invited, we are invited too:Come and see.
